The beginners course starting on this date is being postponed until the the following Wednesday 2nd May 2012

Cavaliers is holding the second f the handicap Epee competitions in Sat 14th April. This is a training/friendly competition and all Epee fencers are invited to join. There will be limited soace available for piste's as it is being run during our normal fencing times and other clubb members need space to train. Please ensure you set up the pistes and be on time, if your name is not on the pool sheet by 1.10pm then you will be excluded from the competition.

Cavaliers is holding the second of the handicap foil competitions on Sat 7th April. This a training/friendly competition and all foil fencers are invited to join. There will be limited space available for piste as it is being run during our normal fencing times and other club members will need space to train. Please ensure you self organise and set up the pistes and return any pool and DE sheets to Mal Davies at tend of the competetion. Please be on time, if your name is not on the pool sheet by 1.10pm then you will be excluded from the competition.

Activity Weekend Program

WAFA ACTIVITY DAY at CAVALIERS SATURDAY 31st MARCH 2012 COMPETITIONS FOR U/13 and U/15 DUE TO THE UNAVAILABLILTY OF A FULL-SIZED VENUE, the program will be as follows: WAFA U/13 Foil and U/15 Foil only. 1:00pm Set up pistes 1:00pm Roll Call for U/15 Foil (Electric) 1:15pm Commence U/15 Foil 1:20pm Roll Call for U/13 Foil (Steam) 1:30pm Commence U/13 Foil. COMPUTER SYSTEM - There will be an opportunity for fencers to learn how to use the computer system. REFRESHMENTS will be available. HAPPY HOUR at the Bowling Club. Cavs regular Happy Hour is rostered for this particular Saturday. As usual, all Cavs fencers (and visiting friends) are welcome to join us for a drink and social gathering at the neighbouring bowling club (walking distance) after the fencing session. Usually from 4.45 to 5.45ish.

Sabre Handicap Competition - March 25, 2012

Cavaliers will be holding a Sabre handicap competition once a month and the first is this weekend.

This a training/friendly competition and all Sabre fencers are invited to join

When: Saturday, March 25th 2012 from 1:00pm (sharp) until 4:30pm

Please note:
There will be limited space for pistes as it is being run during our normal fencing times and other club members still need space to train.
Please ensure you self organise and set up the pistes. Please return pool and DE sheets to myself or Mal at the end of the competition so that we can start the ranking process. Please be on time if your name is not on the pool sheets by 1.10pm then you will not be included in the competetion. This will ensure we can complete the competition on time.

Hi Everyone - a Great start to the Season!

Saturday 25th February from 4.45pm onwards

At the Bowling Club next door to Cavs Venue.

Cavs will supply meat and bread.

Any offers of salad or desserts will be welcomed. (Let me know, thanks)

Buy your drinks from the bar at reasonable prices.

All fencers and their families are welcome.

Newcomers to the club most welcome.

FIRST BEGINNERS' COURSE FOR THE YEAR COMMENCES

Wednesday 29th February 7.30pm

Saturday 3rd March 2.30pm

$85 for a seven-week course

Whats happening at Cavaliers over the summer

Cavaliers is currently on break for the school holidays, but if you are feeling an itch to fence then some of our members will be fencing on the following Wednesday evenings from 6.30-9.30pm.
Dec 21, Jan 11, 18, 25 and Feb 1
The cost of the venue hire will be split between the number of fencers that turn up for these sessions.
If you wish to enjoy your break then we will see you all on Sat 4th Feb 2012 for the start of the season
