[2] Gillian Absent for two weeks:
Gillian will be away from the club from Saturday 16th May, returning Wednesday 3rd June.
She is sorry for any disruption, but if you wish to pay membership fees while she is away, please see Sarah MacFarlane, who will stand in for Gillian during this time. Thank you very much, Sarah.
If your membership fees are due in June, don't forget to have the money ready for Gillian's return.

16th May Open Foil 9am at UWA venue - Cavs to Host this comp, please see Gary if you wish to help.
17th May Open Epee 9am, Open Sabre 1pm at Belmont venue
30th - 31st May The Great Southern Duel. This is a quiet, friendly competition in Albany. Make a weekend of it.
6th - 8th June AFF #2 in Adelaide, entries close mid-May.

[4] Equipment replacement and maintenance:
Great news that Cavs has bought new lames and overhauled most of the electrical gear. Please help us to look after our especially good equipment collection - one of the best in the State.

AFF #2 National Open Tournament (Robyn Chaplin Memorial)

Attached please find the competition timetable, with information on accommodation options, for the 2009 AFF National Tournament #2, the Robyn Chaplin Memorial Tournament, to be held at Scotch College in Adelaide, South Australia, from 6 to 8 June 2009.

Please note that entries from State Associations close with the FencingSA (with copies also to the AFF) on Friday 22 May 2009. Where State Associations have set their own local closing dates for entries, they must ensure that entries are lodged with FencingSA and AFF no later than 22 May 2009.

The attached timetable should allow interested fencers to plan and make necessary travel arrangements taking advantage of any available discounted travel options.
