Draft 2009 WAFA Calendar

Attached is the Draft WAFA 2009 calendar.

Venues will be published as soon as these are confirmed. Please note that whilst Belmont will remain the default venue, and location for State finals, competitions may also be held at Clubs or alternative locations throughout the year. Check the web page regularly for updates. The calendar, as published on the web page, will be regarded as the correct version in case of any confusion.

Subject to the service becoming operational, entries may be required to be made on line this year from this website.

National
AFF#1 (DH McKenzie) Tournament: Canberra, 17-19 April
AFF #2 (Robyn Chaplin Memorial) Tournament: Adelaide, 6-8 June
AFF National Cadet (U17) & U15 Championships: Brisbane, 9-13 July
AFF #3: Brisbane, 1-3 August
AFF National Secondary Schools Championships: Melbourne, 30 September
AFF National Junior (U20) Championships: Melbourne, 1-4 October
AFF #4 National Open Senior & Veteran Championships: Sydney, 27 November to 1 December.

Oceania
Cadet Championships: Brisbane, as part of AFF National Cadet (U17) & U15 Championships
Senior Championships: Noumea, New Caledonia, 17-19 September.

Commonwealth
Junior Championships: Penang, Malaysia, 16-21 February
Veteran Championships: St Helier, Jersey, 9-12 July.

Fencing Confederation of Asia
Asian Junior & Cadet Championships: Singapore, 9-14 June
Asian Senior Championships: Doha, Qatar, 13-18 August.

FIE World Championships
Junior & Cadet Championships: Belfast, Northern Ireland, 5-14 April
Senior Championships: Antalya, Turkey, 30 September to 8 October.
